I can’t believe what I have been seeing on social media. It’s shocking and disturbing. Some in the media are portraying the Mohamed Cartoon Event as some sort of Islamophobic event. It was not in my opinion. It was a free speech event. The provocation originated from radical extremists threatening to kill everyone that doesn’t conform to their beliefs.
Cartoonists being attacked and killed for practicing their craft and profession. The left are going insane as usual passing the buck and blaming Pamela Geller and the people who put this event on as the monster who created the situation. I can’t get over the ignorance, denial, or the ideology to think caving into threats is the answer.
I can’t believe the mentality to blame the people who put on this event saying it wasn’t a good idea, or saying this was planned to incite an attack as some sort of conspiracy theory. Do Christians, Jews, Buddhists, or other religions go out and murder because they become offended over satirical cartoons? Main stream media is afraid to print these offensive cartoons and are afraid to offend Islam. That doesn’t stop journalists from offending others. It’s hypocrisy, there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not offended by something.
All I hear anymore is so and so needs to be silenced or arrested and jailed for hate speech because some one, or some group is offended over something. If that’s the case Al Sharpton should have been bound, gagged and thrown in a dungeon years ago for his inciting vitriol. What would most of these people do if their opinions were deemed offensive and they were punished, jailed, beaten, or even killed for their remarks.
I think it was very important for the Mohamed Cartoon Event took place because if people were afraid to continue with this type of situation, the terrorists have won. It may have been offensive and provocative, well, so be it. At least it gets it out there for dialogue to take place about it. Just about everything is mocked and satirized. Most of it is stereotypical garbage. I think that is why things are mocked or satirized because many subjects are ridiculous. From bashing religion and many of the contradictions that surround teachings in religions. To racial humor, and down right offensive humor.
From my understanding that is the reason comics to talk about and do take a crude approach to show how ignorant some of these subjects can be. And the way people act about certain subjects when humor, or an attempt to bring humor to racism, sexism, rape, or any other taboo subject.
It’s free speech, if you don’t like it, don’t listen to it. Why do you think we have different radio and TV stations. Don’t like the song or show? Turn the channel. If you don’t like offensive or crude humor, don’t listen to it. Don’t like guns, don’t by one. I don’t think it’s cool to make fun of any religious figures like Jesus or Mohamed. Do I go out and try to kill people because somebody does something or draws a cartoon that offends me? No.
It drives me crazy Westboro Baptist Church goes out and protests military funerals spewing all kinds of vitriol. I don’t like what they do or what they represent. I don’t want their rights taken away to shut them up. Same with the Klan or radical Islamic Extremists. Let them say what they want, protest or whatever. But, when it gets to the point they act upon whatever and try to kill people over an offensive cartoon or whatever. They need stopped like the two savages in Garland, Texas.
In a way these assholes have won because many of the mainstream media watch and edit what they print or put out in other outlets because of fear of retaliation. They have just lost their right to free speech because they are cowering to threats. So hence the Mohamed Cartoon Contest, these people put it out there just to prove the point they weren’t caving in. This political correctness bullshit needs to stop.
I’ve mentioned a few times in my blog that we are going to see more attacks like this are going to, and happen here on our soil. And we need to show these bastards the 1st amendment is backed up by the 2nd amendment just exactly like it happened in Garland, Texas. Obama’s foreign policy in the Middle East has had a direct impact on what happened in Texas and other attacks that have been described as lone wolf attacks. His actions pulling troops out of the Middle East has allowed ISIS to grow and take over in these territories. If he would have let our military do their job and win. We still wouldn’t be screwing around with these jack offs.
They want Jihad, fine, give it to them. These radicals need eradicated. It doesn’t matter what religion they are or what their belief system is. Radical Islamic extremism is a threat to the world not just America. The only interest they have is, either to convert or kill the infidels. There really isn’t gray area there for diplomacy or willingness to coexist. Anyone that doesn’t conform to their oppression are going to die. They don’t care if we are sensitive to their sensitivities. They want sheep to follow blindly and say only what they want you to say. And only do what you are told to do, what to wear, and how to wear it. They don’t tolerate gays, they don’t tolerate Christianity, the hate Jews and want to exterminate them. The radicals want I world wide Caliphate, it’s as simple as that.
And all they view our foreign policy and actions as being weak. They think they are winning because Obama has pulled our troops. He shows weakness by what he says and does because he doesn’t want to offend them. Sometimes I even think in his semantics, he’s condone their actions. Now the mainstream media is cowering to them because they are afraid to offend anyone? In a sense they are winning because people are afraid of what they will do.
I guess the line I heard in American Sniper is very true. There are sheep, there are wolves and then there are sheep dogs to protect the sheep. Which one are you?
The liberal media has made me sick saying the cartoon contest was inciting and provocative and the contest provoked the attack. They are pushing the agenda that if these guys were’t provoked they wouldn’t have attacked. Some how they have managed to try and make these attackers into victims because they were provoked. What a bunch of bullshit all the way around.
This event was at the core of freedom of expression.
